Commercial Work FAQs.
Who owns the rights to the artwork?
There are a couple different options you can select in terms of artwork ownership.
Option 1: Full Ownership
You can choose to purchase the ownership and rights to the artwork forever. This means that your contract with us will be for artwork services and for purchasing the ownership rights.
Option 2: Art License Agreement
Another more cost-effective option for some would be to purchase an art license for a period of time where you will have full or partial rights during that specified timeframe.
Prior to the expiry of your license, you will receive the priority when it comes to renewal.
Can I get my artwork printed?
This would depend on what you are wanting. Feel free to ask me and I'll do my very best to accommodate your request.
Can I post my artwork to online?
Yes! You are welcome to post your artwork to online. Where possible, you must credit me with a direct link to any of my social media or websites in text. There is no need to put my name on any of the artwork images.
How will you use my artwork?
This will depend on our contract. Generally we retain the right to use your artwork on our portfolio and social media channels.
The timeframe of which can be discussed, especially if the work is under an NDA.
Commission FAQs.
Will I receive a physical copy of my commission?
This is a digital art commission so you are purchasing my artist labour and skill. The end product is a high-quality digital file.
You can print your commission yourself for personal use.
You can choose to purchase a one of a kind archival quality signed print in addition to your commission. These prints will be signed with a letter of authenticity.
Can I post my digital art commission to social media?
Yes! You are welcome to post your commission to social media provided there is a direct link to any of my social media or websites.
Who owns the rights to my commission?
These commissions are for personal use only. I retain the rights to the artwork itself. You cannot resell, alter, or commercially distribute my work.
If you purchase a one of a kind signed print with the letter of authenticity you are welcome to sell the print as you please.
If you would like to put this artwork onto a t-shirt for example, you may be more interested in my commercial work contract with art licensing rather than a private art commission. Go to my Services page to find more information about this type of work.
How can I use your commission?
I can put your commission on my web portfolio and on my social media channels however, the timeframe of which can be discussed at your discretion.
Your commission will never be used commercially by me.
